First Aid at Work (3 days)

A Health & Safety Executive (HSE) approved course. Once completed, the successful candidate will be qualified to practise as a first aider in the workplace. This course is required for medium to large businesses or those that are involved in high risk activities.

Q: How long is the course?

18 contact hours, which is usually run over 3 consecutive days

Q: Who should attend?

A person that has been nominated as a workplace first aider. Anyone that wants to become a comprehensive first aider.

Q: Is there an exam?

There is a practical assessment.

Q: Certification

A certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course. Certification is valid for 3 years. The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) ‘strongly recommend’ that at least one half day update takes place every 12 months. We support this recommendation and offer a Knowledge and Skills Update that complies with this.

Emergency First Aid at Work (1 day)

An ideal course for smaller organisations whose risk assessment determines that an appointed person is required. Also, a great option for those workplaces that wish to provide support to, or increase, their current first aid provision.

No. Certification is gained through continual assessment and active participation throughout the day.
